As snow and ice appear on stretches of our beautiful River, we at 1 Mississippi, are taking our seasonal cues.
Our focus is shifting to 2020 and planning how we can best work together with you, River Citizen, to protect and care for the land, water, wildlife, and people of the Mississippi River.
Big things for the River are coming! Thanks for being a River Citizen and welcome to the 1 Mississippi November 2019 newsletter!

The 1 Mississippi program is carried out by the Mississippi River Network (MRN) - a coalition of nearly 60 organizations working together to protect and care for the Mississippi River from Headwaters to Gulf.
This past month, the network convened in-person for three days in St. Louis, MO for the 2019 MRN Annual Meeting. It served as a tremendous opportunity for collaboration, critical discussion, and action items to move our shared efforts forward.
One of the pillars of the 1 Mississippi program is to serve those who are looking to engage with, learn more about, and take action for the Mississippi River. We strive to provide you with easy channels to let your voice be heard!
We cordially invite you, River Citizen, to visit our Action Center on our new 1 Mississippi website! In the Action Center, you will find ways to get involved like signing a current petition or 10 actions you can take.
Thanks for reading this edition of the River Citizen Newsletter! We aim to keep you up to date on happenings up and down the Mississippi from federal policy to local engagement opportunities. If you enjoyed, forward this email to a friend today!
For the River,
