Join the Mississippi River Plastic Pollution Initiative
The Mississippi River Plastic Pollution Initiative is collecting data through a community and citizen science approach to create a first-of-its-kind plastic pollution map. The map will help understand the state of plastic pollution along the River and help scientists, policy-makers, businesses, and communities take action.
After you sign up on this form you will receive an email with the next steps, including:
a free Mississippi River Field Guide with detailed information about the Mississippi River Plastic Pollution Initiative, step-by-step how to record litter data, upcoming events like community data collection and clean-up efforts, Marine Debris Tracker app training sessions, and more!
Even if you are familiar with the Initiative -- signup below to join the free email mailing list and be kept in the loop on future clean River opportunities
